Applications
Construction
Galvanized steel, including zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated steel, is used in light gauge steel frames (LGSF) for prefabricated buildings. It is also used to make sheet material fastenings, frames for prefabricated partitions, cladding and suspended ceilings.
Cladding and engineering systems
Galvanized steel is the core material in production of cladding and roofing materials such as corrugated board, sandwich panels, siding. Drainage and ventilation systems are also made of this kind of steel.
Aggressive media
Zinc (275–600 g/mkv) and zinc-aluminium-magnesium coated rolled steels are advisable for use in aggressive medias. That includes agricultural facilities, silos, roofing materials for warehouses and industrial facilities, and truck and van bodies.
Road construction
Rolled products with zinc-aluminium-magnesium coating are recommended for road barriers, road sign platforms, and other products that require advanced corrosion resistance.
